A Day as a Nanny: Quarantine Video Story

I chose to spotlight the most prominent person I spend time with during quarantine and that is the 1 year-old I nanny for, Gabriel. I spend majority of my time with him every day of the week, therefore I wanted to share his daily routine as the focus of my video story.

At work I chose to take different shots of Gabriel as he lived his everyday life. The only issue being, getting longer, steady shots of a 1 year-old before they swipe at the camera or just plain leave the frame can be very difficult. Working with subjects who can be easily distracted or when there is a barrier of true communication, not fully understanding what is going on, capturing clean shots poses several challenges.

In an attempt to double as care-taker and videographer I tried to compile the cleanest shots I could get as Gabriel was in action, following the story of his daily life.

Enjoy!!

Sunshine Study Session Video Shoot

For this exercise, I chose to feature different outlooks composed with a variety of shots of student, Sophia Facione as she studies. I only had access to an iPhone 8+ camera, so getting a clear, still and framed image posed a bigger challenge.

Stay healthy and enjoy the outdoors this quarantine while you get some studying done!!

Quarantine Coffee Photo story

For this assignment I chose to document my little sister, Sophia Facione, as she pours her morning coffee and takes on yet another day in quarantine.

Enjoy,

Headshot Exercise

Meet Sophia Facione, as she poses in her bedroom in Livonia, Michigan.

For this assignment, I chose to take a picture of my younger sister Sophia while I am visiting my hometown for a few days. I do not have significant experience with photography, or anything of that nature. Although, exercises like this provide me opportunities to apply myself and learn in order to help me grow in the field.
